Mrm, I think the rear tint on the front window wouldn't be a good idea... Maybe max of 40%...

Ohio law says that the tint must be 50% (+/-3%). I put 20% on the rear and 35% on the doors - wished I had 20% all the way around. So far no problems with the police....

I've got 80% on the sides and back. It looks very nice on the white L but I don't think I would go that dark again. I can't back down the driveway unless I open the beer can window or use the side mirrors with the windows down. You have to be real careful when changing lanes at night. And it's darn near impossible to tell what or who (cop) is behind you. We can black the back window out down hear but I'm not sure it's a good idea if you also go real dark on the sides. I'm probably going to lighten up the sides so I can at least use the mirrors without having to lower the window.

I have 5% smoke on the side windows and 15% smoke added to the rear windows and 4 inches of tint on the top of windsheild 5% smoke. The tint "Llumar" is the best tint there is! 4 of my friends have tinting shops and they swear by it! It is so cool to have dark tint! It makes my Black L. look so mean! Believe it or not I was born in Cincinnati Ohio. DJY

DJY, born in Cincy huh? Me too! Lived there for about 10 years or so then moved right across the state line to Indiana. I love being out here in the country, but I think I might like Hawaii too! Man I wish it was warm here all year long!!!

I think there is also some confusion here to tint pertentages.

A real tinting scale, the percentage means the percent of ALLOWED light in. Therefore 5% is REALL REALLY dark, Limo is like 2%.

75% would be really light tinting.

The rear window is factory tinted at somewhere like 25% or 22%.

I have 20% on the sides, and 5% on the back. I was going with 15% on sides, but I get busted all the time in my Mustang with it.

I had Limo on side and back windows of a truck years ago and found it a pain to have to lean forward to look out the windshield to see where the medians were when turning left.

I just pick the darkest legal mettallic tint. The mettallic tints dont fade....

SVT Bob

The 20% on my black L seems to match the rear. 20-22% is the way to go if you don't have to worry about the Barnie Fifes.

Cool

Sorry, I forgot to ask. What tint would I get on the side windows to match the back window that is already tinted from the factory? Thanks. Bob.

The rear window seems to be either 22% or 25%, I didn't get it measured, but the 22% I got on the sides seems to match.
