[QUOTE=Tim Skelton]Well, I have the front brakes from a Ferrari F50 -- does that count?

QUOTE]
Are they just brembos? or actually the ones off a f50? or is it one in the same? I was at my rims shop this past saturday and some rich fugger was having the caliper changed on his new ferrari from the stock black to red. He did not want to paint them so he ordered brand new calipers from ferrari in red. it was 6000 just for the calipers, nothing else.

They are supposed to be the same calipers used on the F50. I can't say for sure. They are pretty standard fare for Brembo. Most of Brembo's "GT" kits use either "F40" or "F50" calipers.

I don't know, I have Hawk pads and stock rotors and I think the thing stops pretty damned good for a truck. Plus, you did your self wrong by going to the stealership for something like that. Did you even see your rotors? Maybe they didn't need replacing.

Actually, I only have the cross drilled rotors on the back (to match the front)

I agree with the sentiments of the original poster.

I have 27K and I don't stop hard at all. I accelerate hard, but try to always stop gradually. My pads are in need of replacement in the near future.

Anybody try Bendix or Wagner front pads? How are they on longevity?

Just because you paid too much doesn't mean they suck........

Has anyone tried the "adaptive" pads from Napa>??? Pricey but have heard good things. -Mat-
