Post First tank milage

Well the first tank is all burned up. I did a good mix of driving, some city, mostly highway some 120 runs. I filled up just above the E I figured I didn't want to see how low the gauge would go. I am glad because it held 23.5 gallons man I guess E means Empty. The Tahoe had a few gallons past E. Anyway I averaged 11.43 MPG how about you?

Actually, for me, there's about 3 more gallons when the needle is on E. 11 in the city is about right; expect around 17-19 highway. Congrats on the ride.

My first tank was a mix of city, highway and towing (had to pick up my new dune buggy) . Looking at my excel spreadsheet, I got 12.70 on the first tank. Dropped down to 11.93 on the second. A lot less highway, more testing of the motor. The current tank seems to be fairing better. 100 miles and nearly on the 3/4 mark.

I got almost 16 on my first tank. I thought my mileage would improve, wrong! I get 14 consistently with mostly hwy driving. Hoping when I get a chip it will improve some, I am certainly not even close to 17-19. Badbolt what mods have you done to yours, and do you have a bed cover?

I get somewhere between 12 and 13 with a combo of city and eway driving. I got about 1700 miles on my Red 2001L and my milage is dropping off a bit due to the smile factor!

One thing that made getting a Lightning easy for me is that I don't pay for gas! I have director's compensation contract with a client-company that includes a gas card.

Foot in it and who's counting the calories!
