Took my truck back to the guy who installed the shift kit and shared the solenoid theory with him. He did a computer analysis, free, and it came back with DTC code P0781 - 1-2 shift error, 1-2 shift malfunction. He agrees that this is very likely the result of a bad solenoid, but since the truck is still under warrantee he advised me to take it back to the dealer and have them fix it.

Made an appointment with the dealer for 4/23. That was the first opening he had. Do you think it will hurt anything to drive it that long, if I keep my foot out of it? (That may be too hard for me to do, but I will try).
