HELP!! More Problems.>>
Ok everyone knows about the hidden feature in the odmeter where you can do a dyonstic check well i get DTC 5284- which is Oil Pressure Switch Failure, so the mustang site says. So is the stangs computers given the same codes as the Lightnings computer. Also this morning when I would go to start the truck up It would not on the 1st or sometimes 2nd time, also when this happens the truck dosent high rev, the start up rev is no about 800rpms. The damn thing is that it dosent do it ala the time. Also I can have the a/c on and when i turn the lights on or push on the window buttons the insterment cluster dims, air dims, and RPMS also dim. Where it ideals at 740-780rpms normal, it drops to about 620-680 when it mess` up. So what is the deal?
thanks in advance

Burninout101,
A good place to start with this sort of thing is chip inspection (if you have one). Remove the chip and try the startup. If it is ok, then you'll need to clean the contacts on the CPU's card edge connector.
If you don't have a chip and have never had the computer out, then check the battery connections; could be a problem there.
Also, there have been reports of coolant leaks over and onto the #4 coil pack... these are almost undetectable but if there can cause the engine to misbehave, buck, overrev, etc.
O2 sensor is another possibility, if a lot of intercooler coolant has been moving through the engine... oops. Check your intercooler coolant level just in case.
Hope this helps.

BURNINOUT101- Sorry I don't have much background with these ford engine. But what you might have is a leaking fuel injector when you shut the engine off the injector bleads the pressure off the fuel rail. I know Chevy engine more the Ford but, I'm learning more about these 5.4L every day.

Yeah theres a lot of other crap going wrong
1. Runs HOT anywhere from a neddle to a needleand a half hotter ten normal.
2. When at a stop light or just idealing the rpms go up and down sometimes the truck feels like its going to quit.
3. On 2-3 shift it stubbles.
4. I can start the truck up and after it is started I hear a grind adn a pop sound come from the converter/trany area.
5.The truck has lost alot of power over 5k miles i.e. from 1.5k-7k miles the truck would lit the tires up all the way threw 1st and chirp into 2nd. From about 8K-11K it has lost power big time Im luck if I can spin 15 feet and there is no type of rubber marks.
6.It vibrates more then it did in park.
