Post Anybody had this done?

Has anybody gotten the Perma-plate treatment? My dealer offered it to me, and was looking for some opinions before I had it done.

I had it done when i bought my 98 Explorer
Sport(it was black). Between the Perma-Plate
and lots of Zaino it looked great. When i got
my L (it's silver)I didn't get the Perma-Plate,just use Zaino.If i were to get black again i would get the Perma-Plate.

If you don't mind waxing the truck yourself, save yourself the $700. Permaplate is a heavier wax, and although they do the interior as well (so they say), I believe if you use a nice Zaino product you can achieve the same results. Permaplate, don't forget, is not forever, it wears off as well. I had permaplate on my 94 cobra, but felt bad after my friend at auto body shop showed me the wax equivalent for about $30 bottle. I think you will be happy if you do the waxing yourself, do 2 coats, and scotchguard your seats/carpets and call it a day (and save a lot of money).

The Price I got was $200, and the paint and interior would be warrantied for 5 years. Since I hadn't heard of it before then, I was looking for someone who knew first hand about it.
