Does any one know the overall length of our stock mufflers. Magnaflow sells two sizes for our trucks. One that is 24 inches overall and one that is 28 inches over all. Both come in stainless steel and aluminum steel. Wich way should I go. Quite confused at this point. Thanks. Bob.

 

The 12468 or 14468 are the short ones and the 12568 or the 14568 are the long ones. Either will fit.

The 568 looks like it is a bit shorter than the stock muffler and from the photos posted by Don C, it looks like a short extension was added after the muffler to put the tips in the right location. For the 468's, the same issue would apply, but a longer extension would be needed.

The difference in each is sound. The shorter being the louder of the two. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

If you look at the first pic closely you will see they also had to shorten the drivers side pipe before the muffler. The MagnaFlow pipes are further apart than the stock muffler
