What is "THE CLUNK"?

I wasn't really angry, but people need to realize that the content of the board goes down significantly if threads like:
1.) What is the Clunk?
2.) Which muffler is best?
3.) I can't spin the tires!
4.) Which chip?
5.) How do I clean my suede seats?
6.) My intercooler fluid is low!
7.) I ran a 12.7 with a 1.6 60' (and fail to mention it was on a G-Tech)
8.) Chip wars
are continually posted. This drives off the more experienced posters and then you have the quality of some of the LS-1 boards. If people would take the time to read the FAQ, which has an abundance of good info and did a search if that doesn't answer it, crap like this would not be asked for the 10th time this month.
I have seen the quality slowly degrade on numerous Mustang e-mail list and message boards like the Corral. The more experienced users must be the keeper of the gate and so must the moderators. People like the Lightning tuners will just quit reading the boards and all other intelligent discussion will slowly leave as well. That would be extremely sad in my book.
People need to be told "read the faq", because each new user will have the same 20 questions as the last new user did.
The FAQ could use some addtions and minor updating too, but is by-far one of the best sources of general Lightning info on the web.
