just watched this video on streetfire.

a supercharged V10 - dosent it seem like it should be faster? They dyno numbers are impressive i guess, but the video of the thing actually moving looks terribly slow, at least compared to some of the video's i've seen of lightnings!! Anyways, just thought i'd share the video

I think that guy just sucks at shifting.

Seriously, I don't think the RPM got over 4k before he shifted.

 

I like the way the blocks for the tire were on the wrong side. They should be in the front.

they are slow, from the factory. they run in the mid to high 13's. maybe not that one, who knows! 5,139lbs doesn't seem light to me!

 

387 rwhp on a stick? thats a pretty high drivetrain loss for a manual. id hate to see an automatic

 

It's all in the sound, thats whats throwing you off.....
A V-10 is an entirely differant animal, they never sound like their wound up. Although I am a huge Viper Lover (eventually plan to get one), they truly do NOT have the sound we are all acustomed too....

Here's an 850HP Viper crusing the street and again it doesnt sound impressive

Hell here's one running a 7sec 1/4 mile and it still dont sound like nothing

Ok the worlds Fastest 6Speed does know how to shift

Now here's a slower one but with a Hemi in it, NOW THIS IS THE SOUND WE ALL KNOW AND LOVE!!!

Although I'm not a Ram lover I do love the Motor and the Viper itself, to each his own I guess but you got to love a 100% stock vehicle that'll run an 11 on street tires

huh??? little??? light??? that truck is over 5,000lbs.. our lightnings are lighter then those turds.. they better come correct if they were to ever line up against a lightning.. in the long run they will pull on us because of the 6 speed.. come the short run we win!

 

stock vs stock a Ram SRT-10 will beat a Lightning with the same drivers, its just plain faster from the factory

the Lightning is a much better vehicle for the money, or at least used to be
