New and Excited

Hey all, just a 22 yr old kid here who grabbed an '01 L with 11 K. Its mint cond. Always wanted one and luckily found the dream ride. I have it stored for the winter (im in canada) and have been looking into some mods over the winter season. Mods from performance to aesthetic. Im picking up a Jason Hugger Hard tonneau, krown rust etc looks wise. I have already put magnaflow catback and a bruteforce air intake, I'm looking into the 4 lb pulley as well. Anyone know of any good lightning tuners in the Ontario/Toronto region? Any good shops for accessories/tuner parts? Any info/advice from some experienced L owners would be much appreciated, cheers!

You will need a tune for sure with the 4# and a bruteforce, do not put on the 4# without the tune, the bruteforce has a larger opening than the stock 90mm maf housing and is already running your truck a bit leaner, I would reccomend getting a SCT excalibrator

Congrats on the new toy.

ya i'm only looking for a few mods to keep it safe, its somewhat of a daily driver in the summers. I just want to be able to play when someone is willing once in awhile, any other suggestions? how is the hypertech tuner? worth it?

Keep the stock upper, go with an 4lb. lower. Get a SCT X-Call hand held tuner, find a tuner in your area and get a Road tune/Dyno tune. You will have a blast,,, Safely.

If you mean street racing, keep in mind that under new Ontario laws, if you get caught your vehicle is confiscated and sold at auction. (which I fully support) Toronto has plenty of tracks to really test your skills.

These sites have plenty of information to keep your mod bug busy for years.

You may want to take a look at FTW Ontario. Good bunch of guys with a variety of Ford trucks including several Lightnings.

ya i'm not interested in losing my Lightning, im the slowest driver on the road 9 times outta 10, just nice knowing you have the juice when you want. I will be booking time at Mosport and they do offer a lightning course there as well. So with my brute force and magnas, my best and safest bet is to get a 4 lber,SCT handheld and a dyno tune?

Absolutely not.

A tune is not needed for a 4 lb pulley, but any change to the MAF will require a tune.
