One of our ambulance crews witnessed an accident yesterday. Guy ened up with a seriously messed up leg, good thing they were right there. It's times like that that I am glad I can't afford a street bike.

Man that sucks when I was 17 I had just gotten a 1998 Gp1200, that I tricked my parents into buying, saying that the gp760 was faster, I was a crafty little bastard. I was riding it at lake conroe with my best friend, to make a really ugly story worse I was going east to west on the lake when a guy in a brand new donzi, that was trying to keep up with me kept getting closer to me on a parrallel course, he must have been drunk but he swerved that boat into me and my best friend I flew about ten feet off the wave runner and got knocked out by the impact with the water, the slippery race vest I was wearing rolled me over and probably saved my life. My best friend broke a rib and his leg, Ihad a severe concussion and I required 25 stitches in my chin from hitting the frigging Renthal race bars that I had bought. THe boat was not okay it needed 3500 dollars worth of work to be water worthy. my girlfriend was riding my little brother's Sea Doo GSX limited right behind us when it happened, she tried to get me to come too and I wouldnt so you can guess what she thought had happened to me, it sucked I had to be driven to the Hospital in an ambulance at Code 3 you know sirens and all that jazz. So I know about the Yamaha speed machines and theyre near death situation creating habits. Hey by the way Im Ryan little bro mike is 18 Im 20 he drives the 97 I have a 2000 reg cab with a 5.4 everybody is wondering why one guy allways has such crappy luck. Anyways thank god your okay I just bought a 2001 Gp1200r I sold the Gp1200 last month, putting a factory pipe exhaust on it and a new impeller, with jet kit, it will be bad.

 

sorry I just really screwed up the end to that I am Ryan I was the one knocked off the wave runner IM 20 my little bother is mike he drives the 97 4.6 I drive a 20005.4 reg cab.

Those GP1200R's are power houses. Get a helmet man. Better off, sell it and pick up a superjet. Boats'll never be able to hit ya then...

 

Since this is the only remotely apllicable topic, let me share.

Saturday, during a run between two 9 second cars, the spectator lane vehicle lost control, smacked the wall and into the pitt-lane car. Both ended up upside down, almost in the sandtrap, 1/2 mile past the end of the 1/4. Both taken away in ambulances, but then a spectator had a hart attack.

 

yeah they are bad, I ordered the bars today I wear my troy lee designs helmet when I ride it. I just cant believe how fast it is compared to my 98 Gp1200, which a factory pipe exhaust, which is bad, flame arrestors, water injectors and an intake grate along with a new prop. It was bad but after the wreck it was never the same. These renthals are great, I like the exhaust kits for the Gp1200r im gonna go exhaust flame arrestors, grate and prop. Im thinking close to 200hp.
