OK Doug,

Now that is being too practical!!!!

You did not talk about the difference between an E-Ticket ride and another less adventuresome ride at Disney Land.

You did not talk about the difference between the fuel costs for a rocket and a moped. You did not talk about the miles per smiles ---

Good Job DOUG!!!

I agree with Doug. You'll get a real hosing and you won't save much at all in gas. In fact, 4x4's like you want can do worse than the L's.

Go check out what kind of mileage people are getting with those trucks. There is so much weight to move, you would probably be getting around 15mpg, maybee less.

lets see here...

YOU CRAZY MOTHA POO POO HEAD CRY BABY WHO'S WORRIED ABOUT SPENDING CASH ON A SPORT VEHICLE!!! DON'T POST IT AND GO HOME!!!

I've got my truck w/ 4.2 and I've NEVER SEEN ABOVE 14.5MPG; SO TAKE YOUR CRYIN ELSEWHERE!

Last weekend I spent $65 US dollars on gas. I would LOVE to spend the SAME amount of cash for gas if I had a Lightning. So don't say you can't afford gas for a Lightning because you STILL wouldn't be able to afford it for a 4X4.

I am getting 14.5 MPG with my truck. When I filled up I calculated what it would have cost me to fill the truck with premium. $.09 a litre difference worked out to around $5.78 to fill with premium so for the benefit of the doubt I will say $6 and I fill up once a week so that is 312 bucks a year. I think I will start filling with premium cause that is insignificant.

Point being if you think selling the L is going to fix all your problems I don't think it will. Keep the truck you love and don't lose money on a trade just to realize that it is not saving you any.

If I have had my way I would have bought an L but I could not bring myself to drive something that beautiful in the winter .

Hopefully this is helpful to you. Oh and I raced a silver 01 Lightning last week and he completely anhialated me LoL. I knew I would only have one chance to race an L and I knew it would be worth the humiliation. Point is jumping out of your L into an 02 sport will be like getting of your ATV onto a lawnmower, your now spoiled and everything else is "just a truck" compaired to the KING.

Unhappy

Hmmm, gas is now $2.00/gal here in L.A., and I really feel for you folks in the S.F. area, but to sell the L over gas prices, it would have to hit $3.00/gallon...then maybe...

The Lightning is the highest gas mileage vehicle that I own. My 4x4 K-5 Blazer only gets around 10 mpg. So the Lightning is now the daily driver.

Raoul, be careful where you hang your hose

Holding Tank
Unknown
A couple was out camping in their motor home. They came back after a walk & things didn't look quite right around their motor home. So they took a look around. They found a man in the bushes that had just vomited everywhere. What happened was the guy had tried to siphon gas from the motor home, but instead got the holding tank.

Not to stir anything up, but did anyone actually *expected* to get good gas mileage when you belly up to buy a 360 HP Pickup truck? Modern technology is wonderful, but it still ain't magic. Heck, consider what these trucks can do, I'm amazed that I'm getting as much as 14 - 15 MPG.

Gas: $1.70/Gallon
F1's: $202 each
Lightning: $28K
Smokey burnouts and spanking ricers at will: Priceless
