We paid well over $2 per gallon last summer remember? At least I did. For the pleasure of driving my L, I'll pay it. Of course I'll bitch, but that's my right as an American.

I filled up yesterday with 93 Citgo at the bargin price of 1.79. Took the work car today, and you guessed it, it was on empty. So $41.00 for the truck, plus $30.00 to fill the car comes out to $71.00 in two days!

Well, let's see. My boat gets 3 mpg, max. Holds 140 gallons. Gas price at the fuel dock must be approaching $3.00 a gallon. Guess I better think about trading it in on one of these: http://seacycles.com/

In NY it's about $1.58 per gallon for reg. unleaded and expected to peak a $2.00 per. I just went from a 4.2 to a 5.4 and I'm getting about the same. All suburban driving and getting about 11 miles or so per gallon.

I say we send a few Carriers over to those OPEC counties and level the place. Pave the deserts and through a few hundred Mobil stations up!! Greedy @#$@#&#@ !!!

I'm just waiting for the local, state, and fed governments to step in and lower the .40 to .50 cents per gallon they levy. Oil production is being cut back but I don't see anywhere in the new budget cuts where they are cutting back on the fuel taxes.

Just my opinion.

I don't even think about the price of Gas once I get behind the wheel of my beast, maybe it's just me. Then again, I only live a few miles from work which helps when it's your daily driver.

Hey you want to bitch about gas, come down to chicago. Right now where rated as the highest priced gas in the USA. Now that sucks right there.

I'm telling you guys in chi town, 100 octane racing gas from gas city will be the way to go in about two months. HAHAHAHHA. I'll be driving around on my race program.

Yep - if you want to save money on gas, you better ditch trucks altogether, and get a Honda Insight or something.

Thumbs up

Gas prices have gotten out of hand. It was really starting to crimp my style. I solved the problem with four feet of 3/8ths inch hose.

(I just wish people would buy better brand gas, bunch of tightwads)

I like the group purchase on gasoline idea. I vote for 104 unleaded!

Hey 01Black-SVT,

If you are concerned about gas prices, you should get an econobox on the side. From your earlier statement you indicated this wasn't beyond your affluent means:

I've got my truck w/ 4.2 and I've NEVER SEEN ABOVE 14.5MPG; SO TAKE YOUR CRYIN ELSEWHERE!

Last weekend I spent $65 US dollars on gas. I would LOVE to spend the SAME amount of cash for gas if I had a Lightning. So don't say you can't afford gas for a Lightning because you STILL wouldn't be able to afford it for a 4X4.

Question

Howdy!

Wow! Do those Altoids give a lot of boost? What's the HP increase?

Does Ford make electric F-150's. 0-60 in.. 60 minutes?

Have a nice day.

------------------
My ride:

Basics:
- '99 XLT F-150

Under hood and back:
- Ram air (Don't ask me how )
- AiRaid intake
- Flowmaster DF 50 Series
- 24x3.5" Stainless steel slashed tips (Yes! Solid polished SS, no cheesy chrome-plated)
...

Outside:
- Precision polished billet grille and plate holders
- American Racing 17x8s polished Pythons (Flushed front AND back)
- Goodyear.. something tires (Expensive is all I know. LOL. No Firestone firecrackers for me either)
- Rhino liner
- Ford nerf bars
- Ford bed rails
...

Inside:
- My girlfriend!
...

Fun stuff:
- Dual sirens Black Widow alarm system/keyless entry (Enough decibels to go deaf in a garage )
- Custom driving lights (Just a cool blue)
- 2 High-Watt lights behind grille (For people who cut me off )
- Dual horns (For people who, again, cut me off)
- Dual wheel locks (So I won't be driving home on bricks!)
- Spare wheel lock (So I won't have to use a brick as a spare )
...

Best of all:
- Texas A&M University aTm front plate! Gig'em Aggies!!
