I'm wondering what will the limit be for an L without NOS and without stripping one down. In a couple of years, I think we'll know what the limits of these trucks are. I'm just curious as to what some of the responses will be. I'd guess at around 11.80

38 top gun's double dipper should get 11.5 on a Velcro track I would think.

Heck, since we are just making up numbers, I’ll put a bid in for 9.80’s. No make that 9.70’s. I can feel the .1’s just flying off.

Zorprime: i have everything taken off but the kitchen sink? I take out the passenger seat i take off the tailgate and i have a rool pan on the back. thats not street trim? i'll put the passenger seat back in and still run 12.0's or very close to it...the truck weighs 4,650. with me it weighs 4,830. sounds like to me you got some wrong info! Cool

I think mid-11's.
I think the first tuner that has the nerv to cut a race chip that has 40 degrees of timing and runs on straight C-16 should do it. (J/K) Hell might as well go speed density, junk the MAF and cats etc etc.
It would probably go 11.70s with the stock air box in it. LOL

Oh god, then we would be more like an RT.
HAHAHAHAHAHA
Hey, get a new stock 2001 motor. port and polish the heck out of everything possible, put all you PSP, JL, and JDM parts on the truck and you'll run mid 11's. Oh yeah, mill the heads to raise the comprssion up to 9.4 to 1. thats what I'm doing at the end of this year.

Lightbulb

Fastest is partially a factor of temperature.

At 43 degrees I ran a 8.19 (1/8)
At 80 degress I ran a 8.60 (1/8)
This verifies my rule of thumb that for every 10 degrees drop the truck will go .10 faster. Although humity levels affect the above statement as humidity goes up there is an offset to temp drop. I have found that several percent change in increased humidity will offset a temp drop. Roughly 2% increase in humidity equal a .01 slower et. Barometric pressure is also a factor if it changes during the day your are racing. The higher the BP the faster you will go, all other things being equal.

Johnny,
I believe the topic was for quickest ET in street trim. If you strip your truck down...i wouldn't call that street trim. Fastest street trim lightnings that I know of(they run at full weight with absolutely nothing taken off) Are Rob G and Lightning Bob.
