Unhappy Spark Plug Issues

Anybody out there ever have any problems with the spark plugs not wanting to stay in their hole?

Suggestions? Anybody know the proper torqe for plugs on the lightning?

I really hope I don't need to heli-coil the damn thing.

Thanks

Anthony

The torque spec is 13lb/ft, but it is damm near impossible to get it just right, if you did happen to shoot a plug you may need to do a thread insert of some type, (timesert, helicoil).

The 99-2002 L's have only 4 threads per plughole, and it is quite common to shoot a plug, it is best to check them regularly for tightness.

Thank You

Thank you for the reply. I'm going to give it another shot. Last time I was able to tighten the plug back in (I used the torque spec out of the Haynes Manual which does not include the Lightning Trim).

I noticed that in your pic you track the truck. Solo runs? What type of mods have you done to improve track-ability?

Take care,

Anthony
