Post How do you do your burnout?

I have MT Street ET's and have done 1st gear burnouts and burnouts in drive. The 1st gear burnout I let it burn at about 4k rpms and then let off and sometimes it hits the rev limiter. In drive I take it up to about 4k and then it shifts to second at about 3k. Which one do you think is easier on the truck? I get mixed answers.

I just roll through the burn out box to get the tires wet and then nail it in drive, let it go through all the gears holding it at about 4500 to keep it off the rev limiter, let it roll about half way to the starting line and then let off. Then comes that reassuring "chirp" as they grab. This has been working great since I have started doing it and it's easier on the rear brakes (and the ABS) because I don't power brake it. I don't guess this would work to well doing a dry burnout though.

I would say a 1st gear burnout and when your ready to come out of it shift into second gear. I've been experimenting with it and it works very good for me at the track. the truck hooked up pretty damn good, with brand new e.t. streets.
