I was talking to a guy at the car show this weekend and he said the Eaton on his 01 says SVT where the 99/00/my 01 says Eaton, any of you got this on yours? I'm just curious if they changed the blower mid way through production or something. Then again, maybe he's wrong. He had his 00 at the show because his 01 is getting the wheels chromed.

BTW - He's the one who's selling his 500hp White 00 L on ebay. He showed me his mods with included just about everything on this board and then some - Chip,filter,headers,TB,mild head work,and upper pulley.
He showed me his time slip which had a 12.4 second 1/4 mile so it sounds like he's legit.

My 01 has SVT on the blower.It seems you got yours after mine was delivered,i picked mine up march 13th.

 

my 99 said eaton, and my 01 says svt

 

He'd be running faster than 12.4 with 500 horses. I think he's just throwing that number around...

I'm making around 400 RWHP and get a lot of 'that's one of those 300 hp trucks, isn't it?' Well I also usually reply it's making about 500 hp.

Most people talk crank hp so when you figure 400 X 1.25 then you get right aroung 480 hp, a little off 500 but hey?

Please don't start with the 11% ferry tale!

I just visited the Eaton plant in Athens,GA last month. They were very nice and even though tours are not done, they did take me in the plant for a look around. It was really cool and everything is clean, they have lots of clients for different size chargers. The M112 that is made for our Lightning's is their largest charger. I did ask about why some read SVT while others have Eaton. During the build process the templates are changed for Ford vehicles when requested. Thats what I understood that happens.

About the ebay guy, Maybe he's talking about flywheel horsepower there. its possible that he could be, but then you would think he could do allot better then 12.4's.

Eaton on mine also.

And 500hp, even at the flywheel could be 12.4 in the quarter. Maybe that was his best launch so far.

I'm gonna get blown alot.

 

I taked to the guy with the 500hp e-bay truck. Sounds very fishy to me. Claimed the heads were done the blower was extrude honed and the the 500hp was at the rear wheels. The real funny part was the email address he responded with was the same as one of the e-bay bidders. He was bidding against a presumed legitimate bidder to drive the price up. The last time on e-bay it was up to like 32,900 and didn't sell. Funny part was he was the last bidder. Screwed himself out of a sale.
