Post Lightning Seat Covers and Bra

Does anyone have the part numbers for these SVT products? Can't seem to find any info and I know a few of you are running these products.

Go over to NLOC Gen 2's. Both of these questions were answered there recently.

Do you have a bed lid on your truck? Think I saw you on 119th on Monday (around 5).
Also, there is a silver 2000/99 L, just like mine, with a different lid, around our parts that has the liscense plate "ND4SPED". You know him?

Hey guys, I just happened to wonder over here and saw this post. I'll try to add my input on the subject of bras. If you are going to get one and use it all the time, then you really should invest in a clear bra. It will provide the protection that you want, but it won't damage the paint at all. Bras can do nasty stuff to the paint if they're left on. If you just want protection for on the track then go with a regular bra, otherwise I would suggest a clear bra. Check out http://www.stoneguard.com I've used one on my Audi for almost two years and it's great.

The regular bra will only damage your paint through neglect. If it is cleaned between each use, particularly the underside, and removed before or right after it rains, then you should have no problem. Also, when installed it should be tight as to prevent movement or flapping.
I've had a few of these over the years and one I currently use on my '99 when traveling. I have no chips or paint damage of any kind with 15K.

FASTRK99,

I assume you are using the SVT bra that's sold through icollection.com? In that case, how well does it actually fits on the truck? From the picture in the printed catalog, the fit appears to be sloppy. It looks almost as if someone stretched a large piece of vinyl across the nose of the Lightning.

My experience with auto bra's is they do much more damage than good. Any little stone that gets caught under there will nibble at your paint and leave a nice little hole there. Also they tend to discolor the paint in time.

I guess I like my cars like my women "Bra-less" and fast .................

I'll answer that if you don't mind. I just got mine last week. Good thing, cuz I had a 100 mile trip Sat. The fit is great. Take your time and do it right the first time and it'll look fantastic. I don't really care for the looks as much as the functionality. But I've always had them for the cars I plan to have around awhile. They work great for what they were intended.
