Cool Finally, here coming the headunit.

I finally got everything ordered. Never thought I'd spend this much on a system for a car, but hell, this is my Lightning we're tlaking about here. When it comes, I'll post pics of the final install. Here's the gear I'm throwing in:

Alpine IVE-C800 ($1425)
Alpine NVE-851A ($1550)
Alpine ERA-G320 ($300)
Alpine CHA-S624 ($250)
(all can be seen at http://www.alpine1.com )

Its going to be a tight squeeze with the amps, but I think I can get it all to fit.

Hey Sprio, with the NVE-851A, you won't have to worry about me getting lost anymore!

Surprisingly, if I keep the windows up, its not very loud outside the cab. I wasn't going for huge SPL numbers like Tampa (you can't listen to 147db, thats just show stuff), since I am not competeing my truck...mostly just great sound quality and some really cool looking blinking things.

Looks like cool stuff, It looks like we have the same CD Changer. Where do you plan to mount yours? I mounted mine under the seat, screwed the brakets to the bottom of the seat. Since this pic was taken I moved it up one hole in the bracket. It doesn't rest on the carpet any more.

Is this what you will be doing? The upper deck is the IVA-C800 and the lower deck is the Alpine 5755G digital signal processor/EQ/cdplayer. I chose this one over the G320 because I think the 5755G looks better and also because I get an extra CD player I am sure you system will be incredible.

Wow, I must have missed that unit! (the bottom one). But yeah, thats basically what I want to do.

Hrm...good thing I guess that I missed that, the G320 only cost me $300, I'm sure that 5755 cost more.

drcarillo,

How much did you pay for the 5755? The more I'm thinking about it, the more I think I might opt for that and return the G320.
