Talking Shifting?

Tonight, I will be deflowered and will run my L at the track for the first time!!! (giggling like a school girl!!!) I am bone stock (not for long) and I have a question concerning shifting. If I manually shifted, would I override the "dropping of 4 injectors" during WOT? Or should I just let the auto do its thing? Would it also help if I removed the lid off of my airbox?
Thanks for any assistance!!!

Cool

If you are new to racing let Ford do all the shifting. Ford never blows a shift

Regarding the filter... the 3" hole that all the air goes thru as it passes the fender is too small (in 2001 this was fixed by Ford) The problem is that the L thrives on cood air and most anything that you do to introduce more air from the engine compartment will be hot air prewarmed by the radiator and will be counter productive. The trick is to get cold high pressure air from in front of the truck and shove it into the air box. The devil is in the details.

We have some photos that may give you some ideas. Hope this helps
