All I know is I wooped my buddies 2001 6 spd ls1 trans am, with 4:10's, programmer, air intake mods, etc... and I was only +4lb pulley and tune in my 2000 L.
His L in the right conditions should run mid-high 12's.

The competition is getting pretty tough out there.
Stock for stock the new Cobalt SS shows better numbers than a stock Lightning.
0-60 5.7 vs 5.8 and .9 g on the skid pad with 4 piston caliper brakes.

The point is that there are now several dozen vehicles that can easily keep up with the Lightning, even if your only measure is straight line acceleration. Including some relitively inexpensive ones...
