Exclamation Ford is watching everywhere

I read the Cobra board over at BON, and there has been this guy that works for a supplier(I think of interior parts that have to do with coupes) that was posting VIN's for people that were chomping at the bit for their cars. He had a list of them and production dates for shipping purposes. Suddenly today he was fired for doing so. He said that a person from Ford contacted his plant manager and he was in turn let go.
Just to remind folks that when a big company wants something done they will do whatever it takes or costs. He probably made the mistake of posting his VIN for his car that he was waiting for, which is as good as putting your name and picture out there.
Read between the lines.

I remember a while back that Ford was supposedly sending out bogus info to certain people and then waiting for it to show up on BON, that way they knew, to an extent, who had "leaked" the info. Maybe they did that with the VIN numbers, or possibly, the guy could have been, and still may be, lying about everything.

I didn't even wanna buy a Ford. A couple of "agents" persuaded me to "do the right thing."

Oh, they're here alright, but not for the reasons that you may think....

I can personally verify that the SVT engineers actually hit these boards as much as we do. What a great testbed we must be!

And, they love BIG SMOKEY BURNOUTS just as much as we do(you know who you are)...

It would sure be interesting in a deposition to ask Ford and Eaton, under oath, how many replacement intercoolers have been made. That's the only way we will ever find out for sure. Heck of a lot more than 1%, I'll bet.

I don't think the person that took care of business at BON was very amused by what went on. I looks like the Cobra Terminator thing got at least 2 fired. One supplier and one FOMOCO employee. It would not be a planted story from Ford because of the PR nightmare of firing folks. Its easy to find out who people are on the net I suppose
