Wanting a Lightning

I am thinking about buying a lighting, preferebly in black or white, i was wondering, has anyone tried websites that sell repocessed vehicles? see, the other night i had a dream about a lighting i saw on this site, and i cannot stop thinking about getting a lightning... i have wanted one for a while but the other night just did it, any ideas where i can get a lightning for a fair price?

It's okay, for about a week a few months back I was so into them and would kill for one. I failed several tests that week because I couldn't stop thinking about them. My dream one is going to be silver. Don't worry though, it'll pass. Your truck is awesome, it looks alsmost like a Lightning. If you want one for the power, just buy a supercharger and call it even. Why have two trucks and cope with the gas prices, double-rated insurance, and truck payments all at once?

Yea right, you wont be happy until you have the real deal, lol. Trust me, I've been there before where you're at right now. I remember back when I couldn't stop thinking about getting one and me and my friends used to go around to the SVT dealers just to look at them, lol. I also thought about putting a s/c on my 98 and try to mimic a Lightning but I just wanted the real thing. In fact, my boss got so tired of hearing about the Lightning he gave me a raise just so I could go get a brand new one stress free, lol, true story.

The Lightning even "feels" different just cruising around then the standard f150, the steering is heavier, the handling much tighter, you're just not going to get the full effect without just getting the real deal. I like to check autotrader first since you can narrow down specific searches to area code and miles from, mileage on the vehicles, color, etc... and there's more dealers on there and I personally feel safer paying a little more from a big company that can warranty and stand behind it...

Google SVT Lightnings for sale and you should find some that are reasonable. I bought mine three years ago and have loved every minute of it, (with the exception of being pulled over for various driving infractions) no wait, I loved it then too.

dude, don't settle for less than what you want, be patient and the right truck will come along for you.

you can modify a nonSVt built truck but it's easier just to buy one that's done from the factory...

My daughter's boyfriend is good with photoshop. I love my truck and I'm glad that I waited until I found the one I wanted. The cool thing is that I own it and I'm never going to sell it. And when I'm too old to drive it my son convinced me to save it for when he gets old enough to drive. Keep Looking and you'll find the one!

Mine is a 2003, and I recommend you try and get a 03-04 Lightning if you can swing it. They had the latest upgrades and only those two years came with the Dark Shadow Grey Metallic color that I had to have. Lightnings are pretty cool, and where I work we have over eighty guys that drive trucks, and even the Ford haters tell me that my truck has grown on them and they kind of dig it. Having a supercharger connected to your right foot is the only way to go. I'm running out of pictures so you'd better get one.

Yeah, you know things are completely ridiculous when you are pumping gas and hit the max card authorization amount... and have to run your card again to continue filling the rest of the tank.

Hopefully you don't have to give 'er up... I'm hoping to keep mine for a long time (provided it continues treating me well). However-- if gas prices go up too much more, there's no way I can justify commuting a minimum of 60 miles per day with it. I am about to start looking into geting a high-MPG beater, or motorcycle of some sort, and keeping the L for nice days.

PS. MAT2CH, that DSG looks great!!!!!!!
