Cool Finally got those plugs in.

After about 3 hours and a half hour rain delay, the TR6's are in the truck. The job wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, just don't ask me to do it again though. The pinging problems I had at throttle tip in are gone, the truck just feels a lot better overall with the plugs in place. The JDM 90mm intake kit and chip are also in place so next up is track testing. I'll post as soon as I get some numbers. Thanks to everyone who helped me with tips on getting those suckers in, you were a BIG help.

OleSprky

Congrats on completing the plug change. Next time, it will be easy. You will really like the JDM 90mm MAF/filter kit setup and warm weather program. Let us know how it does at the track.

Just did my plugs for the first time today too, The hard part for me was the 3rd plug on the driverside. After I got the right tool it went ok.

Those times that I posted for the mods were with the Pro-M/Superchips R9 combo. I haven't had a chance to run the JDM stuff for more then a day without the NGKs because of pinging at throttle tip in.

Flintstone:
It would be interesting to see what our trucks would do with the same mods. I see your from Flint, do you ever go to Ubly in Lapeer? I've heard that it is an ok track but I don't know when they have their Test and Tune nights.

DJY:
I think those times could have been a LOT better. My 60' times are still in the 2s with a 2.08 best. The track at Milan is kinda slippery at the start. That 13.39 came with wheel spin for the first 70 ft. I keep the truck at idle and walk it out as smooth as I can then nail it when the wheel spin stops. If it wasn't for the fact that I was already in debt (gee, I wonder why) I would get a set of 16s with the M/T ET Streets.

Holeshot:
I paid $30 for my NGKs thru JDM Engineering. Their Phone # is 732-780-0770.

Lightning Jeff:
Milan has test and tune on Wednesday and friday nights. I think the gates open at 3:30 or 4:00pm. On Fridays at dusk, they stop test and tune and do street races, you just pay the $20 to run T&T then write a break out time on the window. it is run bracket style. I think you win gift certificats to Summit and stuff like that. Whats neat is that you run at night.

Depending on the weather I may be going this Wednesday to test the truck. I was out in it earlier and the roads were still damp from rain, at 70mph on the freeway I nailed it and lost traction when it grabbed passing gear, freaked me out big time. Hopefully Milan will have prepped the track before Wednesday Night.

TR6's (4177) are 2.89 each through Internet Racers Supply on the internet. (4145's) are the same price from Summit for you NOS Boy's.
