Question Tow Hitch Question.

Ok, tonight I took it off. I don't need it, had no use for it. So I unbolt the 8 bolts, tow hitch comes off..then the wiring harness...in comes the problem. I unplug it from both connections and now my reverse lights don't come on..so was I NOT supposed to take the wiring harness off??? Or did I miss a step..is there a way to get the revers lights back without the harness or do I need to reconnect it? p.s. Yes I already looked at the search and faq, but the files are missing (hint hint Webmaster ) Thanks in advance. IF you want pictures I'll take em' for you.

The archives are there you have to select them separately in your search. Look all the way at the bottom of the list of forums. Or search all forums which could get messy

While I have not removed my hitch/harness yet, I do plan on it... From what I remember, most people were not "taking the harness off", but rather just re-routing it underneath the bed somewhere and using an available bolt/hole to secure it. I would try reversing your steps until the lights work again, and go from there... Hope this helps a little bit...
