My 1st "birthday" (actually "adoption day") was yesterday. Life is good. Only 2400 miles, every one of them at WOT.

Bob:

Also remind me to tell some time about how fast the Lightning feels after c-r-a-w-l-i-n-g around on Poland's miserable "road" system for a month in an Opel Astra with the mighty, 90 BHP 1.4 liter "Vortec".

Let me put it this way - even faster than it did after wheezing along the German Autobahn system for a month in a Focus Wagon (2.0 liter "Triton").

At least in New Zealand I get a RWD, 4-point-something liter OHC straight-six (!) Ford FALCON with around 220 HP. Not so bad, althought he handling is best described as "impending death" with a funky live axle in the rear. Get your braking out of the way LONG before the next corner.

I got a CDI E-class Benz in France the last time. Lazy acceleration, but good for at least 125 MPH (don't ask...)

What this post has to do with the associated thread, I really can't discern.

Smile Trucks First Birthday

Truck turned one year old today, and has not seen the inside of the Ford garage. I got the clunk but everything else is ok. Herb's washers are waiting to go in. Put a little over 12k on her and has been a fun ride. Hate having to look at the I/C for leaks all the time but none so far. So I think I'll drive her to the lake, she likes it there. Everyone have a great weekend.
