Post Just Installed Hotchkis Rear Leafs!

I just got my 2" drop Hotchkis leaf springs installed and must say that they are all that Hotchkis said they would be. They lowered my L exactly 2 inches. Now my L sets level. Also Hotchkis stated that I would really see a bid difference in traction with the addition of the new leafs but I just figured that they were just trying to sell me something. Before the install I could hit WOT around 35-40 mph and my F-1's would start spinning. After the install I can't get them to break loose above 25mph so they sure did help my L out in the traction department. Also I can't tell any difference in the ride at all. So for $281.00 from Summit I think that these leafs are a worth while mod!!

Hankfan - thanks for the info.

Any pictures? You install yourself? Does it help out wheel hop at all? Cornering?

The install was easy. About an hour but I was using a lift. It really helped to reduce my wheel hop. I really can't tell now that I have any wheel hop at all. As far as cornering I haven't had a chance to take it through the curves yet so I am not sure if it helped or not.

Are you going to do the fronts? I looked on Summit website and didn't find them. Do you have to call them?

RoadRash- They were recently released so you will probably have to just call Summit. For the front, I used Eibach springs.

Hey HANKFAN,
RobG here, I rescently put the HOTCHKIS kit on as well. Springs and leafs. The ride is much smoother than stock and now I'm just waiting for the'01 Bilstein shocks to arrive at my dealer. they should make the ride even better. I hope they will anyway
I'll have some pics this weekend if anyone is interested. Later.

Thanks Rob. I am currently running the factory shocks and everything seems to be fine. Let me know if you see a big improvement with the new shocks.
