Post full exhaust or just catback

I like the bassani exhaust note and I just can't decide whether to do the full meal deal or just the catback. I know that there is no real gain in power by doing this but I like the sound.

You guys with either what do you think, would you have done it differently if you could.

I know they have had a problem with cats before and I know they say they fixed the problem.

What suggestions would you guys with these have for me?

Thanks
Paul

If you have money burning in your pocket go with the whole system. Or send it to me.

If you want a better sound then go with just the cat back.

I personally like the stock exhaust and would only change the tips and I would like a pair of shorty headers, just because I think they look nice.

Well If I had It to do all over again I would still buy the complete Bassanni Exhaust. I love this exhaust it sounds great and looks great. If you have the money and you don't mind spending it you should get the complete exhaust. If your funds are tight then I would just get the cat back system. If you get the complete system I don't think you would regret spending the cash.

We have just the Bassani headers and like em. It has a nice low rumble at idle but isn't to loud un till you get into it. We wanted our truck to be alittle louder but not alot louder and the headers have us exactly what we wanted. As for any HP gains, that is still up in the air.

There is a HALO member, 99SVT, that has the full system and though it sound nice, it is loud. Going down the Highway and you will have guys on Harleys with straight pipes looking at you.

Mark at http://www.f150lightning.com/ has equal, full lenght headers that will make more horsepower than stock, for less $ than the bassani. Would not hurt to check out his products, he has a good rep.

I got the Bassani Cat-Back I love best thing I put on the truck. If you want loud and intimadating sound like these trucks should have sounded from the factory ((FORD HINT!!)) then go with the Cat-Back I love it

Cool

It is my opinion that the FIRST thing you should do is change the O.E. exhaust manifolds.....no matter what else you do. Take off the stock manifolds and look at the openings for the exhaust flow. Notice how on the #3 cylinder there is a WALL of metal and an almost immediate 90 degree turn. Tell me THAT doesn't have something to do with all the reported failures of that particular cylinder!

Once you put (any kind of header you want)on ......go for the sound you like.

Tim
