Me and 01ArrestMeRed own an auto repair and towing business in a small town in Central Nevada. We tow for the local Sheriff's Office and NHP. It is a one man and woman operation.

Up until recently I also worked as a Deputy Assessor in the local courthouse. That is, until I was fired for basically no reason other than I was smart and happened to be pregnant. Reason on termination said I filled out a 10-day permit (we also did DMV) incorrectly in April (fired in August). No lawyer will take the case because as a county worker I did not make enough money, although we are trying to get something going with 3-4 people (she has forced out, or fired 8 people in 2-years in a 3 person office).

Geez, I sure wish I could just go back to being a Mortgage Loan Officer again (what I used to do before moving to small town).

So, count me as unemployed and looking in Central Nevada.

What's Important

OK, I'll jump in. I make cutting tooWhls, carbide mostly. I'm new to this forum and think it's really great to share something we all really love: our Lightnings. They are special and anyone who owns one knows it. I've only owned one for four weeks. It rained a little today and I rushed to get my Lightning into the garage so I could wipe it off. I haven't done that since I was 16 years old.

My message, though, is that we should use this forum to share experiences with each other and not knock someone who is trying to reach out. I'm a "Junior Member" but will be the first to respond to that kind of nonsense if I see it. The events of the last few days should be a wake-up call for what is really important in life. I lost friends in WTC #1. Polishing my L and thinking about the next mod have been a big diversion, which helps. When I'm ready, I'll post a pic.

Now Big Stone Gap, that is southwest Va. Just up the road from you in Wise, small world.

I'm also new to the board, been viewing it since I bought the lightning 7/24/01. Nice site. I'm a foreman in the coal mining industry.
