Angry 2001 Lightning problems after a tankful of Water!

My wife stopped in a large gas station to give my baby a drink of 93 octane. After filling the truck it wouldn't make it out of the parking lot. A fuel sample showed about 90 water.

Now......I had it towed to my home and the codes it had stored after drining the fuel and driving it 100 miles were "misfire #8" and "upstream o2 sensors".

The truck runs fine at 80+ but won't idle and no low end power at all. It always ran like a charm for the 6 years I had it prior to Exxon helping me out with the water in the tank.

I'm I missing an easy reset somehwere? Or is it time to start changing sensors?

Time to call up Exxon. If you have the test results and a receipt, you're golden.

It was a waste of time......we never got it out of the parking lot and the manager's response was "no one else is having any propblems". It's cause they were all too cheap to run 93.

Another station, a Mapco, had diesel in a regular gas tank and messed up one of the dealerships bass boats...same answer...no one else is having a problem. We even had the credit card reciept with time stamp that showed 20 gals of reg gas.....not diesel.

More info:

Trouble codes, P0230, P0136, P0156, P1131, P1151, P0308.

The P0230 has me concerned. It's a fuel pump driver fail code....and could be causing the 02 sensor issues in the rest of the DTC Codes.

Opinions?

did you drain the tank and the entire fuel system?? also change the plugs and o2 sensors

check the fuses to the fuel pumps and call a lawyer

O2 sensors

You're right......I should change all 4 O2 sensors and it's probably due a set of plugs also.

We did totally drain the system and the tank plus ran it approx 100 miles afterward.

That P0230 fuel pump code is my stumbling block.....it runs great at 60-100% throttle.....it's just a super turd at low end and idle.

I can reflash my computer with a Hypertec tuner I have......but not sure it has a driver for the Fuel Pump ECM contained in the tune.

Time to start a process of elimination.......4 02's, 8 plugs and a re run to see what I get and go from there.

Thanks!
