Has anyone chromed their 2001 wheels yet? How much did it cost you?

 

Has anyone had their factory 01 rims chromed or have you purchased these rims in a chromed version ?? If so where and how much, also comments regarding quality please!!

 

sorry, i guess I didn't see your post before I did mine. I went to Keystone remanufacturing in Clearwater Fl and they quoted me a price of $250. per rim plus a few bucks for removal and remount of tires. Only bad thing was it would take 31 days to complete the work!!! What bummer to have to be without my new baby for a month.

My friend who just traded his 99 white in for a 2001 red just got the 2001 rims in chrome he did the same thing that I did and that he did with his 99 went to the local rim guy by us and he said for 900 bucks trade the stock ones for a set of chrome stock ones. Ive had them for almost a year and I love them good quality the 2001 look sweet chrome I still dont know why ford doesnt offer chrome rims as an option

 

That would be sweet if Ford offered an option for chrome wheels. I can't see too many reasons why they wouldn't. Plus, it might improve the overall value of the trucks.

im assuming its in jersey and im 2 minutes from
nj.also is the wheel fully chromed ,like behind the
spokes and all?

I e-mailed these guys a few weeks back. I got a quote of $500 for a trade + $800 deposit (you order, they send, you mount, you send your old ones) and $1100 if you buy outright with no trade. This include caps and shipping. I'm thinkinh about it, but have to convince the wife, or try to figure out how to do it without her figuring it out. She won't like an $1100 bill plus the price for new tires!! I'll have to check my work computer tomorrow for the e-mail address.

 

Oops...forgot to add we may want to try to organize a group purchase with these guys!! I'll e-mail tomorrow and find out what they'll be willing to do.

 

The e-mail address was on the web site that was posted. I sent an e-mail regarding a group purchase and I'll post the results when I get them. Hopefully they'll come through with a good deal for us.
