Talking Just Killed an L!!!! Sorry....

Well I was on my lunch break when I rolled up on a 00 or 99 L and of course there was the rev of the engine and the general nod and it was on. To make a long story short my 97 Eclipse GST took him by about 2 cars. Now if I can only get my F150 to run that fast.

...not doubting you whatsoever, and good win! Make sure you play safe!

Curious, what does your GST have done to it. I know factory vs. factory the L is a bit quicker.

All good. There is allways somebody faster. Nice to have AWD for the hard launches.

You don't list anything about your GST. What makes it fast? There is a guy here at work with a 98 GSX that I have killed several times.

Silver-bolt: The GSX is the AWD model.

I really liked the flying pig!

Cool

I didn't know you could fit an F-16 engine in the Eclipse. Where do you buy gas?

Thumbs down

I owned a 97 GST(traded it for the L) and It was no where near as fast as my truck was when it was bone stock. Maybe the Lightning owner wasn't racing????????

GS-T's do not have AWD. They haven't had AWD since the GSX's in the original and 2nd gen body styles.

You guys need to quit harking this poor man, LoL. I had a '92 Talon AWD that would blow my L away. Add in a boost controller, bump the psi up from the factory 10 to 15, and you're already ahead of it.

I know stock, the Talon's ran 6.3 to 60 and 14.8 in the 1/4, while pegging out around 137 to 140 top end. W/ the boost controller they would hit mid 13's in the 1/4. Larger turbo, intercooler, and fuel rails and you're now in the mid 12's easy.
