I don't think a Lightning won in the truck class. I believe a Ranger won it. There were about 15 trucks in the class with 2 being Rangers. I got knocked out in the second round by Johnny Lightning. I think he broke out in the 3rd round. Baddog lost in the 1st round as well as RDY2RAC. Casper fouled in the 2nd round. The results are posted at www.thefordmall.com. We ran in the Nitto truck class.

 

BadDog was little more than a whimpering puppy all weekend. My truck was slow, and I was slower. My .700 and .800 lights against that infernal pro tree doomed me from the start.

Next time, I'm running Bracket 2 like Smilin' Jack.

I have to agree with you Gordon. I would rather run in the brackets on the sportsman tree.

 

I'm horrible on the Pro Tree. I always lose to myself in the brackets anyway.

I redlighted in the second round. I was stalling the converter at about 2300rpm when my brakes gave out and I scooted across the beam redlighting. I installed new brakes today. Went to the Ford dealer and they wanted $100 for front/rear. I bought them from Autozone for $50. Brakes for the L is the same as the F250.
