Lower pulley performance?

For those running the PSP or JDM lower pulley's....
Did you notice a big power gain with them?
I put the JDM chip in and it made a huge difference in my 01.
I was contemplating getting a lower pulley but wanted to hear from
those of you with them already.
Was it a pain installing them? Im wanting to get in the 12's and all
Ive done so far is the chip and k&n filter.

Lightbulb

Been gone awhile? Do a search for LOWER PULLEY. I think everyone that has added one has posted here.

You should see about 2 more lbs of boost. May not be as much help in the heat of summer(the s/c heats up the air even more) as it should be in cooler weather.

The only problem I had with the PSP install was getting the original pulley to break loose. Had to get a bigger, stonger neighbor to do it for me. Follow the instructions closely and it's a piece-of-cake!

Skank,

start with a search. Lots of good info but you'll have to wade through abunch of Hatfield/McCoy ***** throwing.

to answer your questions:

PSP Pulley/JDM chip here

Not a big power gain per se (not as much as a chip) but it sure compliments it very well. Think about an aftermarket boost gauge too.

Installation difficulty, not really. I did mine without the luxury of a lift. Good ole jackstands and a creeper. **NOTE** buy blue Loctite if you don't already have some.

No timeslips since the install (yet) to compare against. sorry.

Good luck.

Thanks for the replies! I did a search before posting,
but there was alot of "s*** slinging" LOL!
Thats why I wanted the opinions of those who had 'em on your L's. I think Ill go ahead and get one. My L is just my weekend play perty
so the extra heat generated shouldnt hurt it.
Just hope the install goes smooth!

OK, I added the lower pulley. I run every week and keep very detailed records of all my runs. I run at a 1/8 tract. The pulley was good for .1 in the 1/8. You can feel the difference in the low end. Installation took me about a hour but I have access to a lift.
I consider this to be the best mod after chip and filter and well worth the money.
