Pantera, There was no Bell Tech
part numbers for Lightning so I went with the F-150 kit.
You must remmber to install a Camber kit for Alginment
you you should change the stock shocks. It would be wise
to C-section your truck's rear frame because with a 4 inch
rear drop you will bottomout over pot holes and
speed bumps.

Bell Tech #4804 coils
Bell Tech #6419 Hanger kit

I paid $336.31 for the kit.

Question

Was there a reason you didn't use Belltech shocks?I understand they make a better shock than the "nitro drop "that they advertise with their kits

Pantera, The reason I need not use the Bell Tech shocks
because my friend had them on his lowered F-150 and
they leaked oil and had a terrible ride!

Smile maybe you can help me.

wassup djy, you say u have a 3/4 drop, i was wondering what brand and size of tires do have all around? Is it the stock lightnings? And are there any clearance probs? Id tried going to Cali dis. wheel and tire but they just ****ed me around.(I think it was because i didnt buy my wheels through them) I asked them if i could run 255/55/18 on the front and 285/50/18 on the rear w/ a 2/4 drop on 18x9 wheels and he did not want to give me a straight answer. Maybe you can help/ or give me recommendations.

Much mahaloz, mana

Mana, I have the 3/4 Bell Tech Drop with 2 inch Western
Chassis A-arms I think my truck is a 4/4 drop. I have
clearance problems with the front bumper it is so low
I have to go slow when appoarching speed bumps and
driveways. When I appoarch steep hills my trailer hitch
sometimes scrapes. I have the stock Lightning rims in Chrome
and stock 295-45-18 tires mounted on the rims. The tires you mention would fit alright. It is the look you are going after. I
personally like all the same size tires mounted all around. You
might want to meet Bob the owner at Euro Sport he can help you and be able to give a good deal on new tires and answer your questions. Euro sport sells alot of 18, 20 , and 22 inch rims for trucks and SUV's. Hope I was some help to you. What type of 18 X 9 rim did you purchase?

Question

Last week sometime I saw a link to pics of a lightning that had been customized where the gas cap was located behind the tail light. Anyone know how that was done or where I can get good detailed pics? I am interested in attempting something along those lines on my truck.
Thanks

djy, Thanks for that info. The type of wheels im getting is manu. by USWheel and its called Billet Intense 5. ( www.uswheel.com ) I only wish they came in chrome instead of pol. alum., but im a neat freak anyway so constant cleaning wouldnt be a prob. Oh another question, do you experience any steering problems w/ your drop and 295/45/18's?[URL=http://www.uswheel.com]

Hi Mana, Those are some awesome looking Rims you ordered! I really like the Rims you ordered! I got to see them on your truck when you have them mounted. I think you should buy all the same size tire all around. Then you can rotate them and get the best mileage out of your tires. Mostly every 18 inch tire will fit if your truck. Your drop does not seem that extreme 2/4.
I have no problem with steering and tires with the drop. My truck seems to handle better since the drop. Have you ever seen this Black Extra Cab Ford F 150 with 20 inch Lightning rims on the East Side near you live? He asked me if I would like to go for a cruise with other F-150 around the island would you be interested in joining us???
Aloha, DJY
