Had a friend that has a standard F 150 ask me if I had heard of a recall on all F150's that were made between April 2000 thru Jul 2000 because of a bad buckle.Looked on the NHTSAwebsite and sure enough there it is. It seems that the base of the seat belt assemblies were not properly heat treated and do not pass load bearing requirements.Will go look at mine and call dealer and ask about it. Why don't they tell us about these things!!!!!!Not like our life is in danger or anything!!

I saw that in the paper late last week. They post all recalls in the tranportatin section, I think.
What have you been up to besides endangering your life?
