I picked up a '01 mass air meter, tube, and a breather cap from the dealer.

The mass air meter pn: 1L3Z-12B579-AA list 147.73 got it for 118.18
Tube asm pn: 1L3Z-9B659-AA list 33.83 got it for 27.06

Breather cap ford racing pn: M-6766-N303 list 21.95 got it for 17.00



Somepeople are selling you this stuff online, or through there shops for more. Just thought I'd make you aware of what you can get these parts for. When it comes to mods you got to make that money go as far as you can!

Now hopefuly my new jdm chip gets here in time for this week end

 

JL sells the kit for $150, which is about the same price that you paid. Quicker and easier than buying it from the dealer.

Johnny lightning sells it for a very good price, he is not who I was refering to. I think it's easier to get it from the dealer. Order it one day and pick it up the next. Unless you don't live near a dealer. I'm only 1/2 a mile from my dealer.

I plan on testing both meters at the track and on the dyno.

 

Where exaclty do the breather caps go on our trucks? I never thought about looking for them under the hood.

 

The breather cap keep oil from getting into the intake. JDM also claims to pick up 6 hp from this mod with his chip. You need to have your chip reburned to compensate for the breather.

 

This might be a stupid question but would u need your
chip reburned for the ford oil breather,
also i dont have a chip,so can i still use this or
will it set of a code?

Trashguy, JDM is doing a chip for me. I should have it today. Then I'm going to send my PSP chip in for reprograming also. I wouldn't run the breather without having a chip to compensate for it. The breather will cause your engine to take in unmetered air (air that hasn't passed through the mass air meter) This will cause a lean condition.
