Altitude, temp questions

Okay, I know I live at a high altitude and it hinders performance somewhat. I live at 6200 feet.

So, at first my boost guage would only hit 6, not anything over six. After the psp filter kit and chip it would get up to about 8. I never saw my guage get up over 8. Now I know the stock guage is not great, but this is what I am using for the time being.

Now, last weekend I did the full bassani exhaust and I have not been watching the guage much because the sound just keeps my attention. So today I happen to be out playing around when I am supposed to be at work and I watch the guage as it hits 9.5 or there abouts. It was just a hair under 10. It has never even come close to that.

Today was about 4 or 5 degrees cooler, but much more humid than it has been.

Does the temp make a difference in the amount of boost you will see?

Do you think the exhaust could make a difference?

I was just kind of surprised that it was like really close to 10.

What do you think?

Not sure if it makes more boost in colder air but here in Albuquerque (5000 feet) the air quality seems to have a big effect. I will check my boost tomorrow if I get a chance. It cooled to around high 60s today and I felt a huge kick in performance.
