For the fourtenthmillion time:

http://www.eaa.org/communications/ea...d_partner.html

It's the X-Plan for $40 bucks and you can get as MANY pins as you want to buy multiple vehicles at X-plan price. Ford employees get like 4 a year to give away. You get unlimited w/ EAA (shhhh, I don't think anyone has caught on to this yet, but still, most people aren't going to buy more than 1 car every year or two, so it's obviously nothing for Ford or EAA to worry with).

You'll get your PIN w/in 2 days, and if you want it quicker call EAA and they will give you your membership # and info. so you can get online and get it yourself all w/in the same day of signing up. Just tell them it is urgent and you need it w/in 24 hours, if you're ready to buy say by Tuesday or Wednesday.

X-plan is 4% above employee A/Z plan which is 3% below dealer cost. So X-plan figures out to roughly 1% over dealer or about $28.8k for a new "L" vs $32k+ for sticker. You do have to find a dealer that will participate because they aren't required to accept them by Ford.

I just picked up my new SuperCrew which was purchased on the x-plan yesterday. My price with x plan discount was $400 under invoice. Also, the dealer cannot charge you their usual fees like doc fees.

And to top it off, currently there is an aditional $750 rebate to x plan buyers. This meant I paid $400 under invoice then received a total of $2250 in rebates. Final price was right at $5K off of sticker.

Net, is that if you can get the x plan, you should. There is no cheaper way to pick up a ford (Unless you work for them and can get the A plan)

Good luck!

Is that "fuzzy math"?

4% - 3% doesn't = 1% hehe

X-plan on Lightnings comes out to about 1% under dealer invoice, not over ;-)

White 00L in Ohio, Where are you? Here in Columbus there are quite a few lightnings on dealers lots. One dealer is selling them for 3500 off sticker that would be about 29,000.Most accept x-plan on them too.

I'd show you my sticker, but the dealer fudged it for some reason. It shows I paid sticker for it, and that they gave me more for my trade-in's than what they did. It still shows I paid 28,900 somethinganother for it after all was said and done, but they did it in a way to obviously help them out with Ford on incentives. Legal? No, I'm sure it's illegal as hell to doc up a contract, but they did it.

I'll copy it and upload it later for you all to see. I probably could could get them in some big trouble, but why, especially when I got exactly what I wanted for my trades, and paid exactly what I wanted for the vehicle I bought. I didn't have to pay any taxes on the vehicle either, since my trades were worth more than new vehicle.

Any comments?

Question

Does this work in Canada as well? Just looking for anyone up here in the Great White North who has used the X plan on a Lightning, or anything else for that matter.

Not sure what fuzzy you're playing with but X is 4% over A/Z.

Of course it is. What I was quoting is that you are your thinking was this: 4% over A/Z is 1% over dealer invoice, because A/Z is 3% under dealer invoice.

But in reality, That isn't the case.

At last check,

X-plan is $28,917

and

A-plan is $27,805

Dealer invoice is:

$29,066

This, of course is w/ the tonneau cover.

I still could have my #'s wrong here. Anyone else with them too?

Which is why I said roughly instead of exactly.
