Cool PSP 2001 Dyno

Hey guys, just got back from the dyno. Just wanted to make some baseline pulls before adding a new mod we are working on. Truck is our 2001, and has the following mods- PSP chip, PSP FASTair intake system, PSP lower pulley, single blade TB, PSP fan kit, 4V water pump, and that's it for the hp adding goodies. Stock exhaust and headers still on the truck.

Dyno conditions were:

Air temperature - 100 degrees F
Barometric Pressure - 29.64
Humidity - 95%

Max RWHP- 405.0
Max RWTQ- 471.7

Here's the graph display of the dyno:

Here's the numbers from the dyno:

The powerband is very impressive. The truck makes over 400hp from 4900 to over 5600, and torque is over 460ft-lbs from the start of the pull (3k rpm) to about 4500rpm and only drops to 380 ft-lbs by 5600. Several people are running this same program already and having great success.

Hey Sal,
Great numbers, I hope to be up their soon, What program is it on this pull. I am curious if I have this program. I have your 4 way chip and I tell you it is great. It pulls hard and just keeps on pulling. I wish I had a dyno close.

What did the single blade throttle body do for the truck. I am curious what are your thoughts.

When will the fast air system be available to the rest of us.

Paul

Paul, the TB didn't add any measurable HP, BUT, I truely feel that it helps the more powerfull trucks. Kind of one of those things that doesn't do much on it's own, but works good with other mods.

Matt, this is not the program that you have currently, this program is one step over yours. I ran about 1.5 tenths faster on this program than the one you have. Feel free to send your chip back for an update.

Very Nice #'s. I assume they are corrected. You bring up a good issue with the TB. I've always believed that there are sometimes synergies with mods. Your comment on the TB supports that possibility. I've often wondered if the same thing existed with exhaust systems. The more HP the more benefit you receive.

Wow, is that a pump gas tune-up? In those conditions, that is some serious power.
