That's funny.
I actually did get caught last weekend going south on I-5 past Ft Lewis.
I was running very late for my Brother's wedding and passed a couple of slow moving semi's after they merged over and let me by.
I knew I was at @ 120mph at one point and then slowed down upon approaching another group of cars.
While negotiating my way though this next pack I noticed a WSP about 1/4 mile back (and closing).
I tried to act inconspicuous and move over to the right hand lane, but he was on to me.
He pulled in behind me and lit up the cherries and pulled me over.
I didn't get a ticket though.
He didn't have a pace on me and tried very slyly to try to get me to tell him how fast I thought I was going by asking me all kinds of questions designed to get me to incriminate myself.
I mearly told him that I thought I was doing the speed limit (70) and nothing more.
I was very surprised and relieved when he let me go with a warning.
Not that I'm advocating speeding or breaking any laws, because nomally I drive within 10 miles per hour when I'm on the freeway. I just have never been as lucky as I was that day, and thought it was worth sharing. I doubt I'll ever get away with it again like I did that day.
What amused me was that he did say that he didn't know how fast I was going, but that he could tell me how fast he was going while attempting to catch up to me.
I just looked at him and handed him my licence.
I kept my speed down after that all the way to Mt Hood.

Hey seattlesnake...
I lived in Portland town, really it was Clackamas Or., but not many
know where that is.
I can remember driving north to Vancouver, B.C. and seeing the
WSP setting along I-5 South of SEATAC with radar set up on an old hay wagon, broken down truck , or whatever they could hide
behind. One day as I was driving south out of your town there were either 3 or 4 of those characters driving side by side by side south at 55 MPH, they had traffic backed up for 15 miles.
They still do that crap??
