I seriously doubt this would ever happen. I don't want a 4-door Lightning, nor really a 4-door truck unless I'm buying an extended cab. Then it would be a different situation.

What he means by four door is they will all be extended cab with the smaller opening rear doors. No more short cab pickups. This is what my source tells me also and that SVT was pulling their hair because they need more horsepower for the added weight because if they build a truck that is slower than ours we will all rebuild and not buy the new one. Rebuilding might be fun. I wonder if I can fit a chevy 502 big block in this truck. I love the big block.

I have seen them build this thing into a 620 cu inch that makes 800 hp and 800 lb.ft on 91 octane.

Check out:

They're looking into IRS for the Blackwood. Will it fit our trucks? (it sez 'new chassis'). I wonder if it can take 500+ #/ft.

No, LoL!

BTW, It would have sounded way better if you used that weak bitchslap on a forecasted statement, such as yours, and not against an opinionated response of doubt like mine.

Not only would it be heavy, but I think it would just look ugly and not handle well.

I really can't see any company stop the making of the regular cab pickup truck. Thats just bad buisness.

I do have to say that an extended cab version would be nice for stereo's and hauling chit. Maybe ford should just figure out a way to make the truck lighter. complete fiberglass body for the L.

Angry

Well, I guess Ford doesn't plan to sell me any more trucks. I can't fit anything but a regular cab in my garage. Just as well, I can spend the bucks on upgrading my 2000, and get something else for a daily driver.

Hmm. Same here Doggy, on the garage space.

If this happens Ford is going to lose a LOT of sales. So much for the top selling model.

Same here!! It's regular cab with three across seating or nothing. An extended cab will not fit in my garage. ARE YOU LISTENING FORD!!!!

What about an ext. cab with a shortened bed, like the Supercrew? And make it a plastic bed while your at it. The added room would be nice.

I want bucket seats with a console. Seems like it wouldn't be so hard to make both. Three across seating is worthless to me and I miss all the storage space in the console.
