Question Has anyone been faster?

I'm new on this site and I would like to tell everyone about my 2001 Silver Lightning. I was refered to this site by Johnny Lightning from www.JohnnyLightningperf.com. Now getting to my question, has anyone been faster? I've installed a Johnny Lightning Ram Air, Johnny Lightning Lower Blower Pulley, an electric fan (what a pain in the butt), and I've use the standard Superchip (not a flip chip) and also a Diablo Sport chip from Johnny Lightning. All of my runs have been made on the factory Goodyear F1's at stock 35psi w/ the tailgate still on.

1st pass (9-14-01) w/superchip 2nd pass (9-14-01) w/diablo

r/t .586 r/t .649
60' 1.890 60' 1.855
330' 5.308 330' 5.251
1/8 8.138 1/8 8.065
MPH 86.43 MPH 86.66
1000 10.610 1000 10.535
1/4 12.704 1/4 12.630
MPH 107.71 MPH 107.69

Is my truck the fastest truck on stock tires? Yes I have these runs on video tape. The truck has at least another .10 in it I only got two runs in, if I leave lighter it will 60' better and should run in the 12.50 range.

Congradulations, those are some fast times! I haven't heard of anyone getting those times with a '01 on stock tires and with your specific mods. I wish my truck would go that fast with just those few mods. You must have got one of the fast ones. Those 60 ft. times are great for stock tires at 35 #'s. My best with et streets is 1.77 with 15lbs. JL can sure make these trucks fly.
A couple of questions:
which pulley? 3#or 4#
was it his street chip, or a race chip?
did you use pump gas or additives?
did you have the spare tire in place?
how much gas in tank?
temp?
humidity?
altitude?

First of all welcome to this site, and no there are a lot of trucks faster than you, but those are awsome runs.

I could give you some tips on installing the electric fan, but it is to late now, LOL. Did you disconect the top transmision line on the drivers side of the radiator, hint, that makes it easier.

I ran close to that the other night on my street tires, but you still have me beat, see my sig for my time.

There are a bunch of guys in the low 12's and a few in the 11's but anyone in the 12's is in a elite club. So I welcome you to the 12 second club.

If you want to lower you 60 foot times may I sugest a set of JDM traction bars, I have a set on the way. I saw Jims the other weekend and they are so cool I ordered a set right then.

Just wanted to know.

The Diablo chip was his race chip and i had 100+ octane gas in at about 1/8th of a tank.

I got a reply of no it isn't, so there are peolpe faster w/ the same modifactions I have, no NOS or trans work..

Cool I hope they reply so I can get an idea.

Johnny Lightning thought it might be w/ so little mods.

Jman you got a 1.69 60ft on stock tires, I'd really like to know how you did that

Thumbs up

There have been a few other owners that have broken into the 12.6's and 12.5's on stock F1's. You are flying!

There are a lot who are quicker. Since you said quicker with just a chip, filter, lower pulley, and electric fan I haven't heard of anyone.

BTW, you didn't answer all of my questions. what size pulley is that 3# or 4#? temp, humidity, spare tire???

sorry easter

The spare tire was removed, temp was 58 degrees, altitude at
Maryland International Raceway (Budds Creek) is 0 as far as I know and I believe the humidity was around 60 to 65%

Good run on street tires, with that pressure. Your MPH is good, but mine went down with slicks and a convertor. My times are in the sig. JL runs consistent 12.0's and should be hitting 11's really soon if we can get traction. I am getting 1.89 60's and I'm running 12.2's. If I can get one of my 1.6's that I was getting a couple weeks ago I should hit some really low 12.0's too.

A friend of mine went a 12.52 with nothing but a 100 shot of NOS. His truck is a 2001 with 2700 miles on it

As far as what I have seen here, it seems nobody is running on JUST 93 Octane.

Shaun, at JDM, does some testing with customers trucks and I have seen this time slip, but he ran a 12.61@107.65 on F-1s and 93 Octane. I still think that is the fastest on F-1s using no fuel additives. Correct me if I am wrong, I know everybody will!!!
