Best times on 01
I was able to get to one of the local tracks this past Friday
evening for a test and tune.
Not only was I able to cash in on some good times, I was able
to meet another Lightning owner who reads this board and will
be joining up real soon. He has a 2000, and runs rather well.
The best I was able to achieve was as follows:
R/T .764 - which sucks
60' 2.005 -also sucks
330' 5.523
1/8 8.455
mph 83.18
1000' 10.941
1/4 13.186
mph 103.45
The track we were at has an uphill grade for about the last
700', so this Wednesday I will be going to the other local
track where I usually ran .2 better on the time, and 2-3 mph
better on the top end. 12'S are within my grasp.
Not bad for an old man with a full dress pick up truck.
Thanks Jim/JDM, MIke Troyer, and those who have given me
advise.
Oh yes, my best 60 foot time was 1.946 which came just off
idle. ( go figure Jim !!!!)
I was running 26 x 11.50 x 16 M/t E/t's at 13psi, and they were
spinning rather badly as the track had not been prepared.

new best times....
Hey, Marc this is Shawn I had a great time at the track and glad to meet a fellow Lighting owner. I too ran my best time Fri night 13.15 @102.74 with a best of a 1.88 60' Quaker City Raceway is notoriuosly slow (.2-.3 slower then other local tracks) This was done with PSP's chip (street program) filter, lower pulley and a set of ET street (26x10.5) mounted on stock f-150 steel wheels. I was launching from 1500rpm to get my best 60' on one run myself and Marc both left from idle and all times were within .08 of each other the whole way down the track!! what track are you going to on Weds? let me know maybe I'll meet up with you there.
