Moderator - a question: The site sometimes opens without margins. Why?

It opens with a gray background instead of the white; the grid lines are lost; and the print is so large that the page has to be scrolled from side to side to take it all in. This seems to happen about 1 out of 7 or 8 times.

Also, sometimes the site opens in the proper format but it is as if it were bigger than screen so that scrolling is required to catch the whole page.

I guess my real question is: Is it at my end and is there anything I can do?

Thanks for all you do. I'm sure when you see some questions viewed as many as a thousand times in a day you must feel a sense of accomplishment...

Thanks for the compliment. Nice to see someone appreciates me... Sniff Sniff .. Im gonna cry

Sounds like it is on your end.

I view this from as many as 6 computers a day and the look is consistent. IE has settings for fonts sizes that can change. Without looking at your PC it is tough to guess what might be happening.. The board requires no scrolling side to side at resolutions above 640x480. I set my monitors at 1024x768 and 1280 x 1024 respectively and the forum looks great.

Some web pages will try to adjust the IE settings for you - That may be happening to you. Also some games change your resolution while in the game but dont always change it back when exiting.

If you can narrow it down with more details - Perhaps we can figure out what is going on

I have been beatin' and pounded by my techie boy at my office who had to put me and my PC back on training wheels after I tried to "fix" my screen last night. I crashed when I rebooted and came to a little note that said, "Error installing gdi.exe. Reload Windows."

I have instructions to never go into the Display settings again.
I have been told that I spend to much time on my truck and the idea that I would spend even more time online talking about my truck is a questionable trait.
I have been spanked by Techie Boy!

He says if I want the fonts smaller on the screen then I should sit
further away from it.

Thanks for the guidelines, anyway...

I sometimes have to scroll when someone is displaying large picture.
