It doesn't hurt to have a 6-pack or two handy. Just don't test drive it until you are sober again.

I would definitly recommend a telescoping magnet. It comes in handy when you drop the 7mm bolt in the spark plug hole!!!

Everything in your tool box plus at least two trips to Sears. It is a pain in the butt. I guess the secrete tool to have is a 7mm swivel socket. I didn't have one but can see where you would want it.

The worst plug to do is on the drivers side second from the rear. Fuel regulator right above it. Very limited access. Also a long handled 7mm open end wrench helps.

Bandaids for the hands too.

If possible start the job first thing in the morning before driving or starting the truck. Everything being cold will help.

Don't forget to have a plastic surgeon with extra skin standing by. Have fun. The first time is always the greatest.

After doing mine a couple times, I decided 3 hours was too long to change the plugs.
To make the job easier I removed most of the EGR equipment(reburn chip) as well as the Power steering reservoir to the fan shroud.
