Level 10 tranny?

Level 10 tranny?
My tranny is FUBAR. Truck is virtually undrivable. I need to do something quick. My mechanic thinks I should buy a Level 10 tranny. I am sceptical. I have heard that their quality does not match their price, but I don't know what else to do. Level 10 also wants to sell their billet torque converter, but I don't know what this will do for me except help me shred my F1s. I have e-mailed Gregg to get his take on it, but I am anxious for feedback from everyone who has some experience with Level 10. Thanks.

I'd love to build one, but unless you can send me a core, I have about a 3 month waiting list on Gen 2s right now. Been doing a bang up business on the Gen1s, though. The new Forward clutch packs are about tested though, should be availible from PSP inside of a month, pair it up with a Diesel Direct clutch (or maybe I'm working on a direct clutch too, still tinkering with that) and a shift kit and it'll be about indestructable. The new Forwards have 50% improvement in clutch surface over the factory units.

Yeah brooks, I got it, but if I get anymmore 'puter stuff my wife's gonna leave me (just her and me and we have a network in the house, jeesh). Are you tearing your tranny down by any chance, I may be able to get you in on a test for the forward clutch, I have two out in complete boxes I sold (both are Gen 1s) and mine is done, but I'd like another Gen 2 to run one before I start shipping (Sal has one on the way, too). Gonna go for about $250 with exchange I guess. Adds 50% more grab on the forward clutch, should solve the problems people have with 2nd gear.
Let me know,
