Talking My first mod...Tires!

Just put on a fresh set of Toyo Proxes s/t 295/45/18 on my L. Would like to say these tires ROCK. Ten times better than the F-1's and ride alot better. Got them from Discount Tire for the same price as Tire Depot.

If anyone from the Houston area is ready for a new set let me know and I'll give you the guy to call. The tech also did a great job on mounting them with stick on weights.

Good luck with the stick on weights. Go drive fast (80-100) and tell me how it feels. I don't think you can balance a tire with stick on weights. i tried several times and went back to the rim pound ons.

Hey Rusty!

it's the store on Richmond Ave. and ask for Felix. Tell him you spoke to me about the Toyo's for the 2000 Silver Lightning. Ask for the same tech who put my tires on ...don't have the name with me now, but shoot me a note and I'll send you all the information tomorrow. (rsw4723@yahoo.com)

Oh! the tires look great...a little more aggressive.

Walker:

I have 'stick-on' weights on my ET Streets. I put a piece of duct tape over each weight. They have been fine for several burnouts and 1/4 mile passes--no looseness.

Cool mod, I am thinking about them when I have to change mime.

when I had my tires ballanced I used stick on weights on the outside, and pond on weights on the inside. So far they have stayed on, I did have to have them reballanced twice, due to spinning the tires on the rims drag racing.
