Galaxy/CYAFORD
Congrats on the new rides...I've been eyeing the '02 Z06's with this new financing and was wondering if there was any forums/sites you guys checked out before the purchase? I don't want to mod one too much, just enough to get it into the 11's
Thanks!! I've only got 28 days to make my mind up....

Totaled -Yeah it looks just like that without the tag
DB- checkout www.corvetteforum.com and www.z06vette.com
Great sites lots of helpful people, kinda like an F150Online for vette owners.

DB: Yep, the 2 sites that Galaxy listed are by far the best sites for C5s. Everything you could possibly want to know is listed there: mods, problems, likes, dislikes, kills, etc..... With just a filter, there have been some members on Corvetteforum.com that have run 11.9s in the 1/4. That was for the '01s. I haven't heard of any stock '02s running down the strip just yet. I'll be sure to post once I run down the track in Bowling Green...............

Congratulations
Galaxy,
Congratulations on the purchase of the 2001 Z06. Although I have yet to drive one, it is definitely one hell of a Corvette.
I should probably introduce myself here since I just registered. I've actually been a lurker on this site since I bought my '98 F150 Flareside back in '98.
I've always been a diehard Chevy guy, but when the first newly designed Flareside Ford pickup came out....I decided to hop the fence and check out the grass on the other side.
Needless to say, 46,000 + miles, I have yet to be dissapointed.
The truck is Dark Toreador Red with gray interior and the 4x4 package. I got it with the 4.6L V8, but sometimes wonder if I should have gone with the 5.4L. It gets a bit too anemic going up hills for my taste. My only other complaint of the truck is that the rear end feels like it's on ice skates in the rain. It's amazing how light that rear end gets but I suppose that's something inherent in all pickups.
As for the anemia part....that's probably why I've been drooling over the 2000-2002 Lightnings.....near Corvette performance in a pickup truck....ya just can't beat that!
So what's everyone's opinions on them? Other than engine output, how do the 2000s compare with the 2002s?
I probably should have started a new thread but wanted to reply to this one since it was Z06 related.

See, it's guys like you that's gonna "force" me to add an aftermarket filter to my ride. I just wouldn't want to run into you before that....
