Terminal 1/4 Mile speeds

I have been told by some very experienced folks that 110+ mph trap speeds in the quarter are not possible in a GenII Lightning without NOS, cams, or a pulley. My best top speed has been 110.67mph with none of the afore mentioned mods. I have been told that Go_rila has done the "impossible". Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Mods at the time were Pro-M, chip, SVO throttle body, JBA shorties, Maganflow, stock fan setup, 3.73 gears and 26x11.5x16 ET Streets. Honest, that's it.

It is very possible with the right mods and really GOOD air,i ran 109 into a decent headwind yesterday in good air and having problems with my truck,I have no doubt my truck will see 110 real soon when i get everything fiqured out.

With only the JDM lower pulley, JDM air cleaner, Magnaflowmuffler, Superchip, and M/T E/T streets I
have run 109 mph at 12.88 in my 01 L.
So I would have to believe that it is very possible!!!!
I hope to top 110 real soon if the weather holds.

Thumbs up

Well I used to think it was impossible, but now I believe. I ran a 109 trap and several 106- 108s. I'm confident I can run a 110 if I hook up right and no head wind.

Missing the point?

I think everyone is missing the point Dennis is trying make. He's asking about going 110 with no nitrous, no pulleys and no cams. And I can't think of anyone who's hit 110 without at least one of those.

All it takes is ONE CASE to shoot down a theory, looks like that theory can be thrown out.

My MPH was a lot higher with street tires than slicks. My best MPH with slicks and no pulley was 105.5. I never tried with street tires after a pulley.
